Valerie Kirkland | Group Fitness Instructor
Ohio native, Valerie Kirkland began her fitness journey at the ripe age of six. She earned her Master's Degree in Public Health while on a track scholarship at Bowling Green State University. Her love of the health and wellness industry prompted her to receive certifications in Group Fitness, Personal Training, and Spin. Valerie maintains her physique by teaching Spin, Aqua Fitness, and Strength Training classes and enjoys creating recipes to cook healthy meals for her husband and three-year old son. In 2011, Valerie quit her 9-5 job to become a stay-at-home mom and pursue her dream of starting a non-profit. Her passion is helping people and she believes that if you enjoy what you do, you'll never work a day in your life.
Her hobbies include traveling, trying new restaurants, and working on her blog, livefitjourney.com. She founded Generation Healthy Kids, a non-profit focused on combating childhood obesity, and spends most of her time organizing community events and education programs in her area.
