Regina Santos | Senior Pilates Instructor | Group Fitness Instructor
Regina Santos was born in the Philippines and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 4. Growing up, she loved to move and connect her thoughts with her body. Working out regularly, along with advanced studies in dance, yoga, and martial arts, always kept her grounded. And, after a dance teacher introduced her to Pilates, she was hooked. Some years later, it became the base for her teaching career as she transitioned out of an executive role in an unrelated field. Regina is currently Senior Pilates Instructor and Group Fitness Instructor at Equinox. Her class repertoire includes Pilates, yoga, and barre-based formats that are also offered in corporate wellness programs. She’s known for her spirited leadership, classical foundations, and creative programming- all of which lead to classes that have a balance of consistency and change to keep students challenged, inspired, and prepared for their lives outside of the studio. To stay in shape, Regina does HIIT with heavy weights, Pilates, yoga, and kickboxing. She eats and lives to keep her body and mind strong, meditating twice daily, and prioritizing sleep and rest. She believes that when you can find, live, and love your passion, you are fulfilling a desire that will bring the highest good to you personally, and in turn, to the world at large.
Regina recently published a healthy cookbook entitled, “Running in Heels: Quick and Smart Snacks and Entrees” as a part of her lifestyle concept, “Matter by Regina.” In her free time, she enjoys riding horses, cooking, and throwing parties. She loves to sculpt, too – her last forms were made from wax and metal. On the weekends, you’ll most likely find her enjoying live music at one of her favorite local concert venues.
