Lisa Payne is a fitness trainer and writer from Chicago, Illinois. She views fitness as much a part of her daily life as the clothes she wears - she can't go very far without it! Being active and eating healthy have always fueled her energy, confidence and mood, which is why her career in fitness was somewhat inevitable. Lisa began teaching fitness classes and personal training while getting her MFA in writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. What started as a way to pay the bills and hang out with friends at the gym morphed into a full-time career in training and fitness writing that beautifully combines Lisa's two passions. Lisa is currently a contributing writer for, My Daily Find Chicago, Today's Chicago Woman magazine and her own fitness blog, Paynefully Fit.

In addition to teaching several spinning and strength classes at Equinox and Fitness Formula Clubs, Lisa enjoys giving herself a good workout through running, stair-climbing and boxing with a heavy bag. But in her spare time, she also writes plays and loves to visit Chicago's fantastic art museums. For Lisa, living passionately means never being bored or unfulfilled. She believes that if you bring a positive outlook to everything you do, it will spread like wildfire to everyone around you.
